The Basics
People in Ventura County Google "church in Ventura County" each month. We can move the stake's site to the top of the list with everyone doing a little bit.
Here's how you can help them find us.
The Easy Part

Sign up to receive email updates (enter email at the bottom of this page and click Subscribe). When emails are sent out, click on them to visit the site.

Follow the Stake Instagram / Youth Instagram accounts

Join the Stake Facebook Group
Do this Daily or Weekly (details on these items below)

Spend time on the site. Visit the site frequently and read the talks, watch videos, etc.

If you have a missionary get him/her added to the site here

Share your talks and missionary letters with family and friends

For example, If you talk in church, share it with friends and family (IE. Sacrament Talks)

Give a 5-star review of the building you meet in and include words relevant keywords (see below)
Spend time on the site
Google and other search engines monitor how much time people spend on each site. And the more time spent on a site, the higher it is returned in search results.
One of the best ways to help improve the standing of the stake website to be found by those searching for a church is to spend time on the site as often as possible. Read the new talks, watch the video lessons, read missionary letters, etc.
Sacrament Talks
Talks given in Sacrament meetings can be added as blog posts. This tells Google that we have relevant and new content each week.
Each ward has a Communications Specialist who can get your talk onto the Stake website. Provide a soft copy of the talk and a current picture to go along with it.

This will create content that outpaces any other church in HB or FV.
Missionary Letters
Members serving missions from the stake can help with missionary work at home while serving abroad!

The first thing to do is get your missionary added to the stake site (click here and then click the "Add your Missionary" button)
​
While on their mission, the missionary can send a weekly "friend and family" letter to the Stake Missionary Communications Specialist to post on the site. This creates additional content telling Google to move us higher.

Even better is to send the link to friends and family to read.
Share Talks, Letters and more...
When you find a talk or letter or other item on the website that you like, share it with friends and family to read. As more people visit the site and spend more time there the higher we'll be listed in search results.

At the bottom of each talk or letter are links for sharing. It's easy to share on Facebook or click on the hyperlink image to copy the link and share it some other way.
Online Reviews
Google ranks sites higher when they have a continual flow of positive reviews.
​
If each building received 2-3 5-star reviews that includes keywords like "church", "Christian", "Jesus Christ", "huntington beach", "fountain valley" Google will move us up the list.
​
BEFORE leaving a review make sure the building hasn't received more than 3 reviews this week.
